Acting is done with a trans-Atlantic strangeness. Oh Boy! Oh Girl! 90’s love story grain. Overly dramatic death scenes. Deep tableaus. Cut scene. Fur and diamonds and fat chains. Unearthing a beautiful clay pot, slowly. This is a performance about capital, falseness, and existing through the all encompassing and disorienting portrays of life from media and Hollywood. Suffering and Joy as a concept that we watch. Freedom, a concept for the feral.
RADIO
Purple and Spotlight.
Music Static, Atonal, Acappella
Shiloh sitting in spotlight at table with radio. She is slowly drinking a glass of wine and changing the radio station sobbing. Nic and Advent fan her with huge leaves. Sophia Mail and Farah are picking bugs out of her hair eating them and singing each radio station song as the dail shifts, sometimes it is a commercial playing. Nikki and Ce walk past. They are exchanging strange lines of poetry that slightly sound like talks of gentrification, upbringing, nobility and gossip. “His Mother was a Catholic, His Father a Protestant, their child, Comanche.” “Every promise has a tail.” “Bending Angel” “Some days are a carnival of desire and some days are deep decay” “Happy commercial, palatable, how about I rip my face off and leave it in the street to collect every angle of sunlight?”
Farah Mal and Sophia say in unison “One Lucky audience member will win a 75 dollar TGIF Friday’s gift card. Stay Tuned! Stay Tuned! Stay Tuned!”
WATER
Blue
Dr Emoto Video Projection on screen.
Music Ethereal
Inky begins reading transcript. Farah Mal and Sophia are facing audience and putting on makeup while pretending to be in a shaking airplane. Makeup is getting all over their faces. Shiloh Advent and Nic are walking throughout the crowd moving a cart as airplane stewards handing out water and telling people to put on their seatbelts and to look for exit signs, cryptically telling them to know their exits and to prepare for an unexpected landing, also that there are snacks and drinks for purchase. Ce is center stage interpretive dancing to Nikki reading poetry “I would be honored to transform myself into a vessel....... Let’s see if Dr. Emoto’s experiments work, look toward your neighbor and think loving thoughts, now critique their outfit in your head.” Inky says “Let’s scan the water, the human molecule.” All collect themselves into a circle around the stage and complete a simple movement sequence as a large human water molecule.
Hollywood
Pink
Music Cinematic, melodic
The vibe drastically changes. While in a large circle everyone starts talking about various crushes and exciting love stories. One speaker says two lines then in unison the group says, uh huh uh huh! Summer Lovin’, Grease-esque. The commentary becomes darker, and shifts from exciting love to sinister stories of capital as a predator. “When I look at people, their forearms and hands, I find it so easy to fall in love.” “Uh huh Uh Huh” “We were sitting on the sofa and he put his hand up my shirt. I had a parking ticket that quadruped in price.” UH Huh Uh Huh” My medical insurance doesn’t cover cavities. Etc.” The entire group begins playing some form of twister. Weaving and bobbing into each other’s bodies. Speaking out loud as their worst self, from a place of jealously or lust. Classic relationship freak out.
Hootenanny
Orange and Red flashing.
Music Western
Western background projection on screen then possum footage.
The vibe changes drastically again. Everyone begins to chew on their piece of wheat. Rocco announces that it is now time for the Audience Give Away. He urges everybody to look under their chairs for a silver star. Nicole, who has been an audience plant from this point, jumps and squeals. She has won. Rocco
and her embrace, they kiss, everyone cheers, everyone square dances. The music is extremely jovial. The cast reads in unison. “Certain places smell deeply of soil, earth, I stick my face into my favorite places over and over again to take it with me. To become them, to save them forever, to access them in the face of falseness. I win because I can remember. I win because my origins trace back further than what is easy, luxurious, or put together like legos and called a condo. Fuck those fake wood grey linoleum floors.” Ce screams there’s possum loose. Everyone scrambles to catch it and runs throughout the venue. It’s fun. Suddenly Rocco and Nicole bicker and quickly escalate into a serious duel, the cast splits directly in half and eggs them on. Yes! No! Yes! No! They take out their pistols, shoot, and both fall to the floor.
Bad Actors
Green
Music Extreme
Everyone approaches Rocco and Nicole and call out that they’re still alive and warm. Everyone slowly backs away from them awkwardly. iPhone’s have previously been placed all over the venue in a large circle. Cast moves to their phones and create a very large group call and put it on speaker. Nikki monologue “I’m sick of all you bad actors, watching death through your phones, killing passively. Don’t you know its so much more satisfying when its done with your hands?” Group re-approaches Rocco and Nicole and gorges their sacks of spaghetti. Eating them with forks and manners or roughly, however they’d like. This is a moment of celebration. Siri gives directions over the speaker.
Ce stands up “We are NOT taking any questions.”
End

PUNITIVE WORM + THE MIRRORED TUNNELS
I. Nesting
Slow ethereal pace, underwater. Sentimentality, pleasant peace, plant consciousness. Major
Tableau moments. This is the calm before the storm. A fawn is born in the doorway.
Colored lights on orchestra, spotlight on Status of Liberty, later another shines onto Yenju + the tree.
Spotlight open to Status of Liberty, as if they are alone and unbothered in their bedroom, doing makeup, making calls, texting vigorously, typing away on laptop, all while wearing crab hands and dressed incredibly sexy. Fishnets and hot red. Gossip. Really call a friend and talk tea. Take hot selfies. Cam.
Players are milling about, playing catch, laying down, chatting. Hourglass is belly dancing.
Violin begins by the tree, Yenju is singing in Chinese, Gathering of mice proclaims, “ A Fawn is born in the doorway.” ALL “As every good story begins.”
Elementals are hanging twigs and strings, fabric, and trash onto branches, making a nest.
The Crystal Palace is filling up various glasses of water and holding them to the light, mixing, swirling, spinning,
creating color refractions in the spotlight. Tasting, planting seeds with the water. Auctioneer places fish bait inside the jars measuring and counting. Sorting endlessly.
Aromatic, pause. is mixing cranberry vodkas with mint and passing them out to the crowd. Uttering gardening tips.
Ascots are sitting on the side with large flowery hats, dressed over the top. They are high society to a fault, feeding each other red jelly with spoons, and eventually with their hands. They are commenting on everything, the floor, the sky, each other. They are constantly sharing their opinions on everything, talking, amongst themselves in between scoops of jelly, never fully audible. Eyes are covered with thin fabric.
Fuego fires up the grill.
Metalloid: “Increasingly, backroads and hallways from my childhood have been returning before I wander to sleep. Faucets and wall papers and the commingling of my mother’s hair with the salt of my tears. Laying on the carpet. Windows shaking from blueish thunder. Peaches on a plate and squirrel watching from the kitchen. Layers and layers of decaying leaves. Sometimes i wonder how to return to the place of living for hours in a sun ray. Elongating my body, changing the trajectory of my nightmares, Following an ant, ...but this is not that.”
II. Horse Race
Popcorn on the seats. Day drunk. Pomp and circumstance. Got past the gate for free. World Fair.
Spotlight chases puppet, then shines on grill.
The mood shifts in a second to lively and day drunk screwy. The beginning of a bad trip, before the clowns descend. A horse race begins, but where are the horses? This is some other creature. Elementals carry large sculpture racing and chasing each other, through the audience. They are like cubs playing. Ascots take turns standing and cheering. They do the wave.
Violin picks up and Auctioneer begins narrating into the mic with classic selling voice, speaking surreal language, “When i was young my mother told me to fit myself into a mouse hole. I wondered, how rich and full of resources the world would be if i was 200 times smaller..But maybe its not my size.” Jibberish and etcetera.
Ascots are now playing a precarious version of pool on the ground throughout the audience. The Crystal Palace continues to shift his experiments about.
Spotlight moves to the grill.
Fuego is full on flipping fake grilled cheeses into the air and scattered about. Hourglass is dancing and delivering real grilled cheeses to audience.
Grilled cheese war between him and Gathering of Mice who is collecting foam cheeses, and stacking them by the lamp light.
She screams, “DUMB LUCK IS MY ANGEL!” Over and over, until all players stop their commotion and collect by the lamppost.
III. Opening the Jar
New birth, innovation. Clarity. And then the daydream thickens.
The Crystal Palace whistles a little tune. “I wish to live as an Orca whale, no set of keys. I wish to live like a hummingbird, tasting my own brain.”
During the commotion Teal Phoenix has secretly been concealed in a scrunched pink parachute at the center of the courtyard. A light changes color from within the hub. This is the child’s fort. This is safety. The embryo. It pulses. All players come to the parachute, take a side and spread it out.
Aromatic, pause. operates Barbie camcorder projections and sneaks underneath the parachute to film from every angle. As this is happening Teal Phoenix begins turning all of the animatronics on. They are leashed together. The pink parachute is lifted by all players, Teal Phoenix rises and walks dogs, gently unleashing them all. They wander throughout the crowd.
Players transports all animatronics toward bricked in section of the courtyard, and repositions them constantly, this is a give and take game between all.
Elementals read aloud from a business and marketing handbook and ripping out pages from them. Crystal Palace of desire collects papers and dances with them, slowly tap dancing.
IV. Blood
Bait and switch. Deeply sinking, feral delight.
Spotlight to Orchestra. Junkyard making out with air. All players making out with air, spotlight to each rapidly.
Metalloid “I will sync my bloodwork to a tropical storm. In hope all this flotsam’s grinding toward a pearl. But shit, the tape’s winding backward, sucked up by the machine making our bread, tornado over the sea... we call that
REAL BAD LUCK.
With,”
ALL “No math for reflection.”
Merry go round with parachute. Growing, ask audience to join, Players take the fish bait out of jars and place onto Parachute and then undulate parachute so fish bait flies. Then blood bath amongst all consenting players and audience plants. Take blood pill from pocket and bite each other’s flesh. Bite out of jealousy, bite out of lust. Bite flesh out of anger. This is deeply exaggerated and drawn out, naked if u wanna. Continue until momentum dies, hold hands and get upon knees with head to the earth.
Instruments are left, synth carries out on a drone.
End.

RHIANNON - Angel
BRIAN - Harvest
PETER - Humble Death Beetle
BEA- The Ether
SARA - The Veil

Ancient Scroll and Harvest-----
Soundscapers
The Ether and The Veil------
These two work in tandem as well, the gate to, and the other side.
Wolf and Wildcat------
Feral, anarchic militancy.
Fisherman and Storm------
Alone, but contains both the waiting and the ruckus. The fisherman, requires peace, which only can be met by harsh weathers. A hard worker.
Piedra------
This stone, at ease and stoic in the knowledge that what will happen, will always come. There is no need to overwork the face of a mountain, it is carved naturally by the unseen.
Humble Death Beetle-----
To the ground, To the sky.
PROPS:

Sun mix
Ladder
Rope to rig the sun
Paper bag [2]
Lidded bucket with water
Hammer
Metal bowl for Fisherman
Metal bowl and objects for Ancient Scroll

START
The Ether and Veil hand out flowers to the audience in darkness, as Ancient Scroll and Harvest open soundscape, easy into colorful chaos.
The Ether begins to place sun mix objects from sack they carry around the room and The Veil collects them, slowly placing all objects under the ladder which is staged center left.
Projection runs.
Fisherman :
ON THIS CHARGED SOIL
THE IMAGE WORLD THAT YOU RETURN TO SO OFTEN
BECKONS YOU AWAY FROM THIS STICKY CITY!
Wildcat: ENKINDLE US WITH FIRE!
ALL: METAL, MAGNET SOIL!
Wildcat howls.
ALL HOWL.
All characters except musicians and angels get on their hands and knees in a center circle formation. They begin deforming the howl into a chant.
Piedra suddenly stands and they cease all sound immediately, they begin relaxing and luxuriating as if in a bucolic field.
Piedra approaches The Fisherman, who is working on the ground, hammering away at some unknown object. There is a lidded bucket next to him. Piedra takes fisherman’s hand away from their work.
PIEDRA: Symmetry will come.
The Fisherman heeds this advice, lays down his hammer, and opens the lid to the bucket, finding water inside. He wets his hair and face, feet and body and continues to sporadically throughout the play.
Death Beetle rises from luxuriating and begins their solo movement that continues for the rest of the play.
The Ether and The Veil Exclaim “SOFT!” and place paper bags over the heads of the musicians in unison? The Soundscapers abide, shifting tones to dark ambience.
The Ether and The Veil then then pick up the long cloth and move around the room encompassing the audience.
Humble Death Beetle Exclaims I’m scared! I’m Scared! I’m Scared! I’m Scared and starts laughing, everyone laughs and laughs and laughs.
*Papa answers his phone and shouts from the audience “What is this? What is this? What do you call this? Why would you do this? Are you sure? How can you tell? What’s it for? What time and how much?”
Angels decide to intervene with our realm, collect him and lead him to the exit as he is still talking.
Music totally cuts out.
They return and take center stage holding hands, facing the audience, singing a short song to the universe. This can be any song they agree on. The Ether and The Veil join them, standing slighting behind.
As soon as singing ends the Ancient Scroll and Harvest begin playing full force again, sound rising bombastically. The Sun is exploding soon.
The Ether and The Veil take the rope from the Fisherman, They ascend and hold the ladder to help rig up the sun.
The rest of the players collect toward center stage and begin constructing the sun. They gather the various materials in the sun mix and experiment with adding them to the sun sculpture. They make yelps, laughter and at times bicker and negotiate. The sun is rigged up onstage.
Wolf: I AM ANGRY ABOUT EVERYTHING YOU ARE ANGRY ABOUT. I HOLD JUSTICE FOR YOU IN MY VESSEL BURSTING FORTH. I WILL SHOOT THE SUN. WE WILL BE VINDICATED!
Intense battle breaks out.
Characters are battling against unseen conquistadors. Movement is slow. The characters seem to be beaten and are writhing on the floor.
In the throes of death Wildcat makes one last utterance.
Wildcat: Perhaps you have tainted your mind with a wet impression of me. Convinced I will lie on your window sill with only occasional reflections on your lack. You are wrong.
I am not merciful.
Ancient scroll speaks for the first and only time. “Freedom is not the metaphor of the bird flying weightless. Fuck the metaphor. Shoot that shit right out of the sky.”
The Ether shouts “NOW!”
Audience is cued to throw flowers across the stage at each side.
Characters rise with power. They take arrows and shoot the sun.
As they do so they are screaming.
What makes you angry? Hold it in your heart, let it rip through the air. You do not have to accept what you fucking hate, what you feel is off, what is wrong but asking politely to be right, to convince you otherwise. FUCK this Fuck that Etcetera.
Characters movements and musicians sounds begin to glitch out to the
